I know the Panwar couple, Hemant and Vaishali, since August 2003. The couple appeared together on the stage in Georgetown (Guyana) on several occasions and on each such occasion created a good impression by their aesthetic and sophisticated presentation. Each of their performance in Georgetown was spellbound and greatly appreciated by Guyanese; some of them fully understand finer movements of Kathak. The duo Hemant & Vaishali with their background, good taste and dedication contributed immensely in popularizing kathak in Guyana.
Hemant who has been teaching kathak at the Indian cultural Center since September 2002, set very high standards in imparting knowledge of Kathak to students. Vaishali in her own right is a very fine artist who has fine technique and approaches dance with a commendable understanding.
I extend my good wishes to them for their future endeavors.

I take great pleasure in thanking you Hemant and your partner Vaishali for taking part in the sixth international Artist for peace “sangeet yatra”- A journey through classical Indian Dance & music, which was held in the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur from 14th to 18th February 2001.
The workshop, Kathak Dance – when Music is transmuted into form , which took place under your and Vaishali’s guidance turned out to be an absolute success for all participants. All of them enjoyed tremendously dancing this for most of them totally new dance form. This was certainly due to professional expertise of both of you and your very obvious pleasure in teaching.
That the workshop participants did not only enjoy the session but became so enthusiastic that most of them volunteered to be in the little show which you choreographed for us, was another prove of your talent to enthuse your students.
I enjoyed very much working with both of you and am still touched by the beauty and gracefulness of your dance performance.
Wishing you all the best for your future personal and professional life.
